Hold onto your headbands Miyagi fans, this one’s going to hurt. Columbia Pictures is preparing to remake The Karate Kid, with Jaden Smith in the lead role. Will Smith’s kid is going to replaced Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid. The kid from Pursuit of Happyness is going to fight Cobra Kai. Nope, no matter how you put it, it still sounds like shit.
I’m not sure who, outside of the Smith family, thinks this is a good idea. I like Will Smith a lot. I liked Pursuit of Happyness, and thought Jaden was fine. So my problem isn’t necessarily with him. It’s more with the entire concept.
The original is a timeless classic which is every bit as watchable today as it was in 1984. Its message still stands today. It’s not like bullies have disappeared, or that hard work and discipline are have become unnecessary. In other words, THERE IS NO REASON TO REMAKE THIS MOVIE.

I woke up today and saw a cloud over the Brownstone I am staying in then for a brief second the sun peaked into the New York Sky, I smiled then I prayed. I asked God to be a blessing to all those in Pasadena who need one, I asked God to give peace to those who were restless, understanding to those who are confused.

I asked God that he would reveal to us the blessings that surround our lives that we might live lives full of great fullness. Most of all I thanked God I thanked god for insight, opportunity and for every gift that I have received because this thanksgiving I am celebrating the life God gave me.

So as you all go out and prepare you meals, spend time with your family, watch the game, take two seconds to thank God for his grace, kindness and blessings. Also if you would like to be a blessing to someone else please check the list below of places you can serve food and make someones thanksgiving that much better.

Last year we served 8.500 meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas to people who were homeless, senior citizens, alone at the holidays, or unable to afford a holiday meal.

What's good Dena Land? I guess some would say my post have gone a little watered over the last few weeks and yes I agree. Have not fear I am back from my little hiatus of only posting stuff about shoes and music although the music will keep coming I am going back to my original format.

These weren't that tight when they dropped in '96, but in order for Fila to stay above water and compete they deiced to bring these back.

An iconic basketball shoe is coming back this week - the Fila 96 Grant Hill. The people from The Reed Space were allowed to play around with it a little and added some flavor to the sneaker. It comes in an OG white/navy version, NY Knicks orange/blue colorway and a CMYK colorway. On the side panel the sneakers feature a “Reed 96″ print and the Reed Space chair logo is featured on the heel. The OG colorway is limited to only 36 pairs worldwide.

The Reed Space will be exclusively releasing it on November 21rst.

But today it all came together, one of the girl's previous band mates, Naturi is playing Lil Kim in the Notorious bio flick. Naturi landed the ever "presigious" cover of King Magazine. Not to be out done by her previous "sanger turnt actor" band mate, Adrienne released some bottomless pics on the net.

That Damn Bridge

PASADENA - A woman who wanted to end her life after losing her job was pulled to safety off the Colorado Street Bridge by police officers Tuesday morning, officials said.

Pasadena police responded to the massive concrete bridge around 5:30 a.m. after receiving a call from a driver about a distraught woman on the bridge, according to Lt. Keith Jones.

When police arrived the woman had all but one leg over the bridge, Jones said. The first officer, a sergeant, approached the woman from behind so she couldn't see him while another officer talked with her to distract her, Jones said.

The woman told the officer she was depressed because she just lost her job, her house is in foreclosure and she thought she had nothing to live for, Jones said.

Within minutes the sergeant grabbed her leg and about four other officers grabbed other body parts to pull her over the ledge, Jones said.

Jones would only describe the woman as being in her 50s. She was taken to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, he said.

The Colorado Street Bridge is known as the "suicide bridge" after the dozens of people who have committed suicide off the bridge.

I don't know how excited I am going to be for the Blueprint 3 after hearing this track.
I am starting to agree with many out there that its time for the older guys to pass the torch. When is Jay really going to retire? When is Puff going to stop making bad music?
