Shout Out to Horace Wormley

Landshut: Wormley replaces Lane - Oct 17, 2008 (by Moritz Korff)
The club-officials of TG Renesas Landshut (2. Bundesliga Pro B) reacted promptly to the departure of their American guard Eric Lane (186-G-85, college: Boise St.). As a replacement, Horace Wormley (168-G-83, college: Vanguard) has been added to the roster. Lane had seen action in two games this season and tallied more than 20 points per contest.
Wormley has once been described as the quickest player ever to compete in the Golden State Athletic Conference. Two years ago, the playmaker finished his collegiate career and made the 2005-2006 NAIA Division All-America First Team after his senior season. In 33 appearances for Vanguard University he had posted 14.9 points, a NAIA-2nd best 7.5 assists and 4.4 rebounds a game. Following his graduation he made his first steps as a professional basketball player in the USA, shooting hoops in the JBL, ABA and most recently in the WCBL. His debut in Germany is set for Saturday, when Landshut take on the Crailsheim Merlins.
