Alot of you all get dressed from time to time it occured to me, the reason so many people wear those loud lime green plaid suits is because the don't know better. Here are a few things to remember when considering what suit to buy.
1. Always, Sometimes, Never (applies to the buttons on a suit jacket, if you suit has more buttons than the rule it means you should not have it. )
2. The essential colors are blue,black, and grey. you can build a whole whardrobe of suits with those foundations.
3. That thing on your arm that has the suit makers name on it should not be seen ever.( cut that shit off)
4. Vents are not just for cars. having a double venteed or single vent suit will make you look like you know what you are doing no matter what situation you are in.
5. Wood hangers save suits. In order to avoid the frumpiness of a wrinkled jacket make sure you hang you suits hangers made of wood.
6. Big knot little tie is a no no. Wearing a windsor knot is nice but make sure your ties still hits the top of your pants or a little higher
7. Not just any Knot. When you choose to wear a certain knot make sure it fits the shirt you wear. Windsor knots go best with spread colars.
8. Socks are more than feet covers. When choosing the appropriate mens hoisery make sure you select something that adds to the presentation of the outfit. Polkadots, stripes, and colors make subtle differences that people notice.
9. Nothing should come in a box. Buying shirt and tie box sets is like buying a cigar from george's liqour on lincoln and altadena dr.
10. Tailor your boy. It doesn't matter how much the suit costs just go to the tailor and get it cut to fit you, the devil is in the details good chaps.
